The Modest Truth

The Modest Truth first came to me when I was helping on a friend's film back in the summer of 2010. Since I try to make films that evoke an emotion in people, I thought that it would be a good challenge as well as a learning experience to create a film about a father and son who couldn't get along. I have a great relationship with my dad so this was something that I found to be difficult to relate to but that's why I love film. I believe that a film can show people all kinds of experiences that they would never or may never go through in their own lives. This is what The Modest Truth is about. At the end of the day, I want people to sympathize with Daniel Jr. even if they've been through something like he has or not. If they haven't experienced anything like it then that's O.K. but something tells me that people have.
